Most scenic river for river cruise?
Hi. I'm planning yet another river cruise for 2006 and I would like some input. I am wondering which European river might be the most scenic while cruising. And are there any rivers that you don't think are particularly scenic? I am very much open to itineraries and schedules. Anyone who can give me some advice? Thanks.

I haven't done the river cruises, but from our car travels, I would consider the Mosel in Germany one of the most scenic options. From what I've seen, and other reports, on the Rhine, only the section around Coblenz is really scenic for cruises. I think there are a few threads that could be dug up through the search box on this topic as well.

The most scenic river I have done was the River Meuse in Belgium, but I do not know if anyone does cruises there. (I take that back. Here is one): http://www.bargedirect.com/bargemerg.htm
We are doing a cruise on the Saone River this September; but in a self-drive boat. There are, however, any number of hotel barge cruises on the Rhone/Saone. One link would be: http://www.cruisecompete.com/specials/
itins/2374572/1 Just do a Google on Canal Barge.
I'm sure you will have a good time, whatever river you choose. A wonderful way to see Europe.
