Most "scenic" places
Personally, I find it offensive when people who are asked questions like "what's the most beautiful/scenic city in such-and-such-an-area, and why" rattle off a list of inanimate things such as statues, fountains, other scenery, and food, and in the same sentence talk about the "gorgeous women" as though the women were nothing more than scenery, like furniture--definitely not people. Even if one didn't find it offensive, you'd think someone would find it tacky and immature to discuss frat-boy stuff like this in a travel forum.

But....Obviously I'm wrong, because no one seems to agree with me. It's not offensive or tacky at all! Therefore, the Ray Sevas of the world should not get all bent out of shape at my suggesting the following topic.

O.k., women, let's hear it. What are the most "scenic" places you've been? (Yes, I mean with the best-looking men.) The guys who are always giving unsolicited opinions in this forum on how "beautiful"/non-beautiful the women are in various regions, seem absolutely AWESTRUCK by toplessness, so don't you be shy--be specific.

Now, before anyone writes in to tell me how tacky the topic is, ask yourself why you DON'T find it tacky enough to protest when the guys write this kind of thing.

Express yourself! Where are the best-looking guys?

Poland! Some of the older men fall into the typical image of Eastern European residents under communism, but the young ones...!! Absolutely gorgeous!! Many of them have that clean cut, "nice young man" look, but with a slight edge of dangerousness - it's very sexy!!

Is my email address 'mailexcite' or 'male-excite'? I suddenly can't remember... tough call, girls. Italy is one for sure. And the Rhine River in Germany always comes to mind thanks to a pretty pony-tailed boy working on the cruise boat...*sigh*!!! Also I find that it's also often the auditory stimulation that makes a 'place' attractive; there's nothing sexier than a foreign accent!

DEFINITELY ITALY!!! My girlfriend and I still talk about how unbelievable those men were. When we were travelling in Europe in college, we adopted the phrase "Italian" to refer to any good-looking male, no matter what country we were in. My husband refuses to ever travel in Italy with me because I always mention how sexy the men were when discussing Italy.

A previous poster was right about the polizia. There is just something about those young, tanned men holding guns that is so opposite the police in the US. Not to mention they are much more flirtatious and appreciative of a woman with a little skin on her bones. And of course there is the accent...

Put another check in the Italiano column! And it's not only the dark sultry look and wonderful appreciation of women, but also the accent - whether they're speaking Italian, which is exquisitely mellifluous or if they're speaking English with a "Roberto Begnini" accent, it's a sexual symphony to the ears.

[P.S. I think women speaking French is the male turn-on. Remember Morticia & Gomez from the Addams Family?]

I hope to hear more about this in the future!
