Most photogenic?

Which European/Middle East/African cities/towns/villages are the most photogenic?

In my humble opinion, Rome definitely is definitely one of the top cities.

May I have your valuable input?

Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovine has to be the most photogenic city I've ever been to.

Venice, Hallstatt, Dubrovnik -- off the top of my head. Taormina is pretty good. Others will probably come to me.

Practically any African village, town or city offers great photo ops. The people, the markets, the shops. Same with the Middle East I imagine.

I liked Conques in France. But I went out of season.
Most French towns offer markets, café filled squares and the like to photograph.

It depends on what you want for photogenic.

Every place has reasons to be photogenic (architecture, history, people, animals, landscapes, etc), it simply depends on what you're interested in.

I love pictures of architecture/landmarks and landscapes. Snapshots of people can also be some of my favorites.

It is not only what you see but how you photograph it.

All the places that people say are "too touristy" - they are touristy for a reason.

But if I had to pick I like bob's list.

Have a look at my photos, most of the places I took them in were "photogenic" - www.pbase.com/annforcier

I think Athens is the most photogenic largely because the monuments have space as well as beauty.
