Most charming Cotswold B&B ever

You've been so helpful on Italy, the train, etc. We still have some days not planned and the earlier thread on the Cotswolds got us thinking that we'd like some cozy days there.
We've always loved the region, always wanted to walk the Cotswold Way, and love bed and breakfasts with great hosts and some charm. The one we used to stay in has closed so we're looking for all great ideas. Thanks!

Well, you won't get the "most charming B&B ever" for $100 (approx £60), but for $150-$175 you'll have tons to choose from. (There are lots of decent B&Bs for less - but your title indicates you want something special)

Do you have any preference for village/area?

But to get you started here are few in good areas. . .

Thanks. I'll check these out. We love the area around Painswick and also like Tetbury, but about anywhere in the area.

No idea of the price now, but 10 years ago stayed at The Cottage in the Wood. We could hike a ridge on the Malvern escarpement right out their back gate. It's probably not technically a b&b, but it's not huge.

Cottage in the Wood will be well above their budget. Except for one room, the rest run from about $250 to well over $300, plus it is in Malvern Wells which isn't a convenient base for exploring the Cotswolds.
