Mind the Gap t-shirt

We spent one week in London last summer with daughters aged 12 and 14. Loved every minute. We all enjoyed the Mind the Gap recording when travelling by tube. would like to purchase the Mind the gap t-shirt for my daughter's 13 birthday. Can anyone tell me how and where I can buy one. it sure would be a great souvenir (one year later!) Thanks

Louise:

I bought a "Mind The Gap" T shirt in the Gatwick Airport last year (april '99) while passing thru on my way to an other European destination. However, I'm assuming that you don't wish to fly overseas to make the purchase? I don't remember the name of the store in the airport, but have you tried looking up Gatwick to see if they provide a list of the vendors, and possibly their websites?

You sent me on a mission Louise - I pulled out my T-Shirt.
I looked at my “Mind the Gap” T-shirt to see who made it and saw that it’s copyrighted by the London Regional Transportion. SO, tracked them down and found a website for the London Transport Museum Shop.

Below is the site for the Museum Shop’s Internet Mail Order Catalogue:
http://www.ltmuseum.co.uk/shopping/mailord2.htm
Thanks Robin! The transport museum was out of t-shirts when we were there last year---so we have Mind the Gap mugs, key chains, and magnets. Now maybe we can have t-shirts...
