I'm looking for additional references and experiences from people who have used Michael Osman in Paris.

Hi John,

I met with Michael in April of this year. I was traveling with two of my children (9 and 12), and Michael was absolutely wonderful with them! He's a very easy-going, flexible, knowledgeable guide. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again. If you have any specific questions, I'll be glad to answer them here or privately at my above e-mail address.

Jennifer

A friend just used him a few weeks ago..even though she has traveled widely and often to Paris she was most impressed with his services and information. In fact several of us are meeting in Paris later in the fall and have booked him for 3 days!

She said they met up at 9 aM and stayed out till around 7 PM all for the one flat fee! He is very flexible and can arrange for you to see what you want..

Hi John,

We spent a full day with Michael in May. He was wonderful. He really did spend the entire day with us, and was in no hurry to leave...even sitting in the hotel lobby with a map of Paris and giving us suggestions and directions for things to do on our own!
We spent most of the day in the Louvre and even though he gave us a 'disclaimer' that he was not an Art Historian, his insights and knowledge made it a very rewarding experience.
I would highly recommend him.

I'm the friend JOdy mentioned -- all these comments on Michael are absolutely on the mark. Please feel free to email me directly for more detail. [If you want a "peek" at the new website I've been working on for him as a "thank you" for his generosity of spirit
http://parisfinder.traveurope.net/PF-index.html ]

Since I am considering the use of a tourguide and Miss.Kaplan is over priced for me. Could someone that has used Michael's services e-mail me with what he charged for the day or a tour? I'm wondering if he is as expensive. Thank you.
Gerry

Why don't you just e-mail Michael and ask. The rate I have read is not even in Ms. Kaplan's ballpark. It would not be fair to him to publish it.

Thank you to those that have posted positive references here for Michael. I feel lucky to have reserved his services for our trip in the fall. As mentioned here, his fees are very reasonable! and he will stay with us for an a whole day he states, "until you are exhausted." He seems nice enough in his e-mail letters and quite helpful, so we are looking forward to this.
As I may have mentioned already, we used a guide's services on a past trip to Rome. We liked having someone that was informative and knowledgeable telling us what we were looking at. This is a bit of laziness on our part I guess. Anyway we think that this will make a Paris visit more interesting for us.
thanks
Gerry
