Message for Dr DoGood - More info re Casa Guillamo Please
I would appreciate it if you could give me more information about this restaurant - phone number, directions, open for lunch? etc - would very much like to try it!
Also any other suggestions in the Perpignan to Spanish border area would be great - on the waiting list for El Bulli - we were there 20 years ago and would love to compare it (but would prefer the price 20 years ago!) Thanks!

Sorry Elizabeth, missed this (evidently!) but here you go (it's also on the other thread too to double your chances of catching the info!)
Case Guillamo: 04 68 39 60 50
Take a left turn onto an unmade track (well signposted) in the hamlet of Can Guillamou on the D44 between Serralongue and Lamanere which is off the main D115 road which runs the length of the Tech Valley (he Vallespir) from Le Boulou (sth of Perpignan) to Prats de Mollo and on into Spain.
I don't know about lunchtimes but they do do a walk and picnic on a saturday afternoon (mushroom picking in the forest or a climp to the Tours de Cabrenc - some ruined fortifications high up on the French/Spanish border - following the routes used by smugglers and escaping Allied Airmen in WW2).
I'll search out some other restaurants in the area for you - and have a chat with the (soon-to-be)in-laws for more local knowledge. I'll post agin on this thread early next week.
A bientot

Elizabeth,
I've been through my old notes and guide books and spoken to La Famille and here are the results from this mixed anglo-french epicurean jury!...
Perpignan
Galinette on Rue Payra
Passerelle (excellent seafood & fish) on cours Palmarole
Banyoles et Banyols on Rue Cardeurs
Ceret
Excellent Tapas at Del Bisse in the centre of the old town.
Prats de Mollo
Hotel Ausseil on the main square in the centre of the old town - 04 68 39 70 36 (I enjoyed a wonderful Frito Misto here)
St Laurent de Cerdans
Domain de Falgos www.falgos.com is a golf club high in the Pyrennees. Great views from the restaurant over lunch or at dusk. Food's pretty good too!
Collioure
The Neptune on the headland south of the main bay looking back across to the old town for the classic view of this beautiful little port. The food at The Neptune is justifiably famous and its probably worth booking for peace of mind (and the best views!)
Have a good trip & happy eating.
