Meo Patacca - Restaurant

Has anyone been to this restaurant in Trastevere? A friend went there a few years ago & said it was touristy and fun. She recommended it. Wondering if anyone knows if it is still in business.

Marsig - I haven't been for several years, but I'm sure it's still going - here's their website:

There's another fun one in the same piazza, with strolling musicians.
It used to be called La Fieramosca. I can't find their website so perhaps it's changed name.

Hope this helps ... Have fun

Steve

There's another one of the same ilk: Fantasie di Trastevere.

Personally, I would pass up the hokey folklore in favor of good food.

Thanks Steve, Eloise & Sandro.
I know the restaurant(s) are `hokey' but one night out of a few weeks -- one can have some fun with `hokey'... there will be many opportunities for `good food', I'm sure.

topping...
Any other opinions? My parents are thinking that Meo Patacca would be a good place for a pre-cruise dinner for 30 people who haven't yet met each other except online and through email.
Thanks!

Tim & Liz - As I said above, I haven't been for a while.

But either Da Meo Patacca or the adjacent Osteria de' Mercanti are ideal for groups.

You'd need to book in advance, I think.
