Meg - ?? about Bridge Hotel

Hi Meg, I still have the info you posted about this hotel in the fall, and have received a message back from them earlier. My question is -(after reading various posts that the hotels in Amsterdam are dirty and don't look like their website pictures)- does this website accurately picture and describe the hotel? Going on your suggestion and enthusiasm, this is where I want to stay, just want to be sure it's what it's pictured to be. Many thanks for your reply - and your original suggestion. I'm getting excited!

Kathy - I tried to respond to your direct e-mail, but it came back "undeliverable" TWICE. So - I hope you're watching the board.

I think the website of The Bridge is incredibly accurate. The room they picture on the site could have been my room - EXACTLY. Those little comforter sleep sacks on the beds are just great -every time we go my husband thinks I'm going to stuff one in our luggage. Anyway - the place is clean, quaint, simple, comfortable and close to everything but far enough away so that it's quiet at night. I don't think we'll ever stay anywhere else in A'dam.

Meg, I tried twice to e-mail you directly too - even giving you alternate addresses! Too funny!

Thanks for your reply. This is JUST what I hoped it would be. Now I'll 'book it Danno!" with some confidence. The setting and location remind me of our stay last May in Brugge. I've saved your past posts and used them for planning our May trip. Hope when we return I can do the same for someone else. Thank you very much.

Glad I finally reached you, Kathy. My third attempts at e-mailing you were returned this a.m.

I hope you love The Bridge. I always thought that as our life progressed and we made more money, we'd move up to more expensive places.... but that's just not the way we travel. We find some place we are comfortable and just keep going back.

PLEASE post on your return and let me know what you think!! Happy travels.

Hello. My husband and I will be in Amersterdam for a weekend in February. We are thinking about staying at the Bridge Hotel, but I am concerned that it is too far away from the sights. Is that true? Are things within a short walking distance?
