May Holidays in Paris

I will be staying in Paris from May 17-20 and plan
to do some shopping. I am aware that this is a
holiday weekend. Does anyone know which days shops
will be closed? Thanks!

Hello dayna
For your information the big
store like galerie lafayette and
printemps are open Monday to
Saturday 9:30 am to 19:00 pm.
The shop are open Tuesday to
Saturday 10:00am to 19:30pm.
Good shopping.

Dayna: Although I do not have any suggestions for you as I will be visitng Paris at the same time for the first time, what is the holiday that you mention. Is it a National holiday?

Two religious holidays occur and the end of May,
Ascension Day is on Sunday, May 18 and Whit Monday
is on May 19 this year. I believe that banks, etc.
are closed on Monday and Tuesday.
