We were there 2 years ago in the off season and didn't get to enjoy the beach but, its a new hotel, while we were there they were still doing some construction...we had a 2 bedroom that was awesome, was more like a town house. 2 pools (1 indoors), great outdoor lounging area, onsite little store where you can buy almost everything, and one outdoor, good restaurant. Although, it is a short driving distance from the main area of Marbella, so take that into consideration. However, there are several other hotels in the area. would definitely recommend asking for ocean view...Hope this helps, if you need add'l info

My husband and I are planning a trip there this March - we have a 3 br villa at the Marriott reserved. My biggest headache has been transportation - we have to fly into Malaga (which involves 2 changes of flights from the DC area) and then rent a car to drive to Marbella. We're hoping it's worth it!

For the person having to do two flight changes to get to Malaga, there are several other options.
British Airlines goes direct from D.C to London, and goes direct from London to Malaga. You have to sometimes ask for the London connection. Hope this helps.

I will be going to the Marriott Marbella in a couple of weeks, I will report back on it when I return.

Since we already have "paid" for our week at the Marriott, we do not have the option to travel about Spain and spend nights in other places. What day trips are "doable" from our location? Is Sevilla a possibity? (We will have a car). Also, what restaurants are recommended?
