Great photos Marcy!

This is the first year since 2001 I missed being in France the beginning of May when the wisteria, chestnut trees and rapeseed fields were in full bloom. I went too early in March.

I may have to take care of that and go the right time next year.

See you Saturday!

Marcy, thanks for taking me back to Giverney! You manage to eliminate more people in the pictures than I did. ;&gt

Marcy, we're off to France in a week and Paris is where we will be for the first half of our trip. Your pictures were great and helped us make up our minds that Giverny is a "must see" for our intinrary. I am considering the Fat Bike tour where you ride bikes from the train station to the gardens. Anyone else do this and have advice?

Thank you so much for sharing! I hope more and more fodorites post their pictures. It really makes a difference when you can actually see all the places we talk about.

Marcy your photos are superb! I love the dew on the rose. Did you take the St. Martin canal cruise? It's on my list of things to do. Really lovely pictures, thanks for sharing.

Marcy - Your pictures are beautiful! We were in Paris last week and my pics don't compare. Didn't you love Le Train Bleu? What a beautiful experience with delicious food and wonderful service. Well worth it!

What beautiful pictures, Marcy! We're getting together this weekend with cousins we traveled with last month, and I will show your photos to them. I didn't realize you'd been to Train Bleu, also; seemed as though we were just following you around, a few days later!

So nice to see the pic of Mme Giaglis!

Really enjoyed your pictures, you have a bit of the artist in your eye for the subjects you chose. How is the Col. and his wife? We stayed with them about 4 years ago and took his tour so the picture of him pointing out something of interest brought back memories. Hope he is well.

can anyone tell me if a day trip from Paris to Normandy is reasonable as far as time is concerned? I would like to leave Paris in the morning and be back in Paris that night. Thanks!

Marcy, I ditto what everyone else has said. The photos are just superb. Now you've made me rethink going to Giverny. I wonder what it would look like in mid-September though? Probably not quite as gorgeous. I doubt that the leaves will have started to change just yet. I must also make it to Le Train Bleu. Wow!

Thanks for sharing. See you Saturday!

Kate

Magnifique! I'm thinking I may want to buy some of these at $0.25 per 4/6
