March Gourmet Magazine - All About London

While scanning the magazine section in the library today I noticed the March issue of Gourmet is "All About London - The Best Place to Eat in the World Right Now".

The magazine index includes Pubs, Winebars, Cafes, Hotels, Restaurants, Shopping and a catchall Other.

I had to try a few bookstores to find a copy, most magazines on the shelves are April.

I bought a copy today. A bonus is an easy and delicious-sounding recipe for Sticky Toffee Pudding. I tried to make one once and it wasn't very good, so I have high hopes for this one.

Jody, if you don't mind, just send me the recipe. I am sometimes complimented on my cooking, but I tell people I'm not so much a good cook as a collector of good recipes. My e-mail is [email protected]. Thanks!

Carolyn--I sent you a recipe for sticky toffee pudding which was published in the May 1998 issue of Gourmet magazine. It's truly delicious!

carolyn..My recipe is John Tovey's original recipe from his Miller Howe hotel in the Lakes district..you'll find lots of comments on it if you google! If you can't open it let me know..I use Works and some people can;t open it with older programs.

You sound a lot like me! If I cooked every recipe I had in my collections just 1 time , I
d have to live to be about 103!!

Thanks, Jody and Katie. I have printed both your recipes and copied the one in Gourmet. I don't know about living to 103, but I'll probably gain 103 pounds if I make and eat all three varieties of this lucious dessert.

Jody I would love to get a copy of John Tovey's Sticky Toffee Pudding recipe if you'd share it. [email protected]
