Mallorca (Soller, Port de Soller, Valldemossa) Lodging Recommendations
I'll be spending a few days in Mallorca next spring (late May) at the end of a 2.5 week trip to Spain. This is the part of the trip where we want to slow our pace and relax, and so we're looking to stay in a place where it's nice to just...be there. We've identified Soller, Port de Soller, and Valldemossa as the towns we're most interested in staying. Of course I'm finding lots of lodging options online, but I'd love first-hand recommendations from anyone who has stayed in an accommodation that they just loved.
Here is our list of requirements:
- We are two friends traveling together, so we need two bedrooms or at least a bedroom and a sleeper sofa
- Nice outdoor space - garden, terrace, pool
- Ideally no more than $250/night
- Light and bright interior (I've found some places that are beautifully designed but seem a bit dark)
Thanks in advance!

We have been to Mallorca many times and have stayed in different areas but much prefer Pollensa. I know that it's not the towns you mention but we've been to them all. Of those you mention, Valdemossa would be my choice. If you must have a sea view, then the Port at Soller. Soller itself doesn't do much for me unless you like trams.
Pollensa has a typical Spanish feel, good restaurants and a lovely Plaza Major where you can sit, sip, eat and people watch. We usually stay in Hotel Son Sant Jordi, which has a small pool in the garden, two minutes stroll from the centre and nice rooms.
