Mallorca itinerary help

We have four or five days to spend on Mallorca before heading on to business in Sevilla. We will be flying in from the states. I would like some itinerary, hotel, restaurants, must-sees, recommendations. Should we keep Palma as a base or somewhere else?

I would consider the first night in Palma and then pick up a car and go to Deya which you could use as your base to explore the island. You don't have to do much there to have a good time and see a lot of beautiful things. enjoy.

Spent 9 nights on Mallorca last June. It was wonderful. If it were me, I'd not stay in Palma. Head for the country and see some of the beautiful land. Some of our favorite areas were.......
St. Elm, Soller, Fornalutx and Deja.
The drive from St. Elm to Soller was breathtaking. It takes a few hours but the roads are in great shape.

From Soller we headed to the Formentor area. It too was pretty but we preferred Sollier. FYI there is a FANTASTIC inn/restaurnt in Sollier called Cas Puers. www.caspuers.com Once of my best meals of my life.

We stayed in Fornulutx at a charming small hotel called Ca'n Verdera. It's a 10 min cab ride to Sollier from here. If you can swing it, get the top room.

You'll love Mallorca. We took our 8yr old child and had a wonderful time.
The people are very nice and we always felt very safe.

Have fun!

Yes, I agree with Paul. C'an Verdera is a fabulous hotel - my full review and pics of it can be found at

http://www.i-escape.com/hotel.php?hotel_key=ES016
