Malaga or Majorca for Young Couple

Hi, I was wondering if people could give recommendations and suggestions on which destination we should go for?

We are a young couple looking for a beach holiday; wanting good beaches but also nearby places to go shopping and water based activities such as fishing/diving.

We are planning on going for 5 days.

Thanks in advance!

I forgot to add that we also want somewhere with a lively nightlife!

Beaches + nightlife = Ibiza.

Definitely Mallorca.

Check out Trip Advisor or Hotelcheck.de for reviews.

Germany owns half of Mallorca so be prepared for lots of wurst and beer.

My man and I had a very romantic weekend in Menorca. It was very much the off season (March), but the beaches were beautiful, and landscape impressive, and if you travel into any of the towns, there will be nightlife. I don't recommend Ibiza unless you are really hardcore about partying. The whole island has been sacrificed to the Gods of disco trance.

Oh, and as for Málaga. . . it is an awesome town, but when will you be going? August is Feria, and it will be packed and not at all relaxing. Also, the city beaches are very average. You would do well to rent a car and head out to Almería, but 5 days is not a lot of time for car rental.

Oh, and for shopping in Menorca, go to the Jaime Mascaró outlet and have a ball! Great shoes, jackets, and everything for unbelievably good prices.
