Lidija,

You can request any time you wish. That said, however, I would be prepared to send 2nd, 3rd and even 4th choices along as well. That restaurant books so far in advance it wouldn't surprise me if they were already filling up (or full) for this September.

In any case, I would simply send your 1st choice by itself initially (the reason being that if your 1st choice is a popular time and you send your other choices with it, then you're telling them what you'll settle for). By the way, if you can book right before the sun goes down and stay until dark, you'll never forget it for as long as you live!

Godd Luck!

Strive

In all the times I've been to Paris, I've never been able to get dinner reservations at Jules Verne -- only lunch -- and this is booking months ahead. Please let us know how successful you are at getting the time you want. I'd like to know just far in advance one has to book.

Received a fax back, they are fully booked for September for dinner. I guess 5 months isn't enough time to request dinner reservations. Wow. I don't know if I'll take them up on the lunch offer.

Lidija,

Sorry about your inability to book dinner reservations, however, I wouldn't be too hasty to turn down lunch. We've had lunch there before and it was fabulous! Whether for lunch or dinner, it's an experience to remember.

Strive

I got a Friday evening 7:30 dinner at LJV for next weekend, about 2 months out. April is not "prime time" for paris, as far as I know.

I'll post a trip report when we get back, to let you know how it was!

Drew
