I don't have any money saved, qualifications, or foreign language skills... but I plan to go to Europe and work for a year or two. Can someone please help me?

I am flying into Heathrow and need to get to Gatwick - will 6 hours be enough time? If it is, can I also squeeze in a few hours seeing the highlights of London?

How much do we tip the porters at the train stations in Italy? My husband and I and our two daughters will be arriving at Fiumicino and want to take the train into Rome, and we have 9 suitcases, three totes, and two backpacks, plus purses of course.

Is it OK to wear a really big fanny pack in Paris, or will I blend with the locals by wearing a small one?

Is the US Dollar accepted most everywhere in France?

They all really do speak English, right?

And my all-time fave:

Where is the best place to see the Fourth of July fireworks in Amsterdam? (No kidding, I didn't make that one up!!)

Is Europe safe for women?

Can I take a child to Europe?(followed by multiple posts answering, "God, no! Why would you take a _year old to Europe? They hate museums/castles/trains! Why don't you go to Disneyworld?&quot

Where can I see the Arkansas Dirtbowl (or similar yankee sporting event) in a bar in Poland?

Anything to do with gypsies.

My kid is a picky eater, etc., etc.

I know this is a discipline problem but don't you DARE give me any grief about it even though I am the one who mentioned it in the first place

THE answer: starving kids will eat almost anything

From an actual current thread:

I would be grateful about guidance how to plan my days there. Please bear in mind I have no knowledge about ___________ , its weather and climate and average prices though from what I am reading its quite expensive.

Don't you want to scream "so WHY did you pick that country???!"

Brilliant thread!
