Main train station to Berlin Marriott
We will be arriving Berlin main station from Prague. The hotel is advising us to take a bus, I believe M41. Besides this bus, is there a train that goes near by?
I will not use taxi service after a bad experience in Prague 2 days ago.
Thanks

We took the train to the Marriott after the train in from Prague. I'm sorry, it was a few years ago, so I don't remember the details. When you arrive in Berlin, there is an information office that can direct you. It was an interesting train ride to the Marriott, mostly above ground, with great views of the former East Berlin.

Take the taxi. Will be around 6-7 Euros. Berlin is not Prague.
The bus is hardly more complicated.
At main station, use exit for "Europaplatz".
M41 bus leaves on the opposite side of the big street which you will have to cross. Next stop is your hotel.
You only need a "short ride" ticket (which is Kurz-strecke in German) - and you get the tickets from the driver.
Local trains go from Main station to Potsdamer Platz station (also just 1 stop). Take any southbound RE train leaving from lower level platforms. Not worth the hassle, since you have to walk longer from station to hotel.

I stayed at the Marriott in Berlin in April of 2007. I really enjoyed the hotel, and it was good value for what I paid. Do remember to pull the room doors shut and HEAR them click shut. The doors are heavy and sound like they have shut, but not quite all the time......
I took a taxi from the airport and to the train station in Berlin. The taxi drivers in Prague are notorious for ripping off tourists, and refusing to turn on the meter. This is not the case in Berlin, and we never once had a problem in the half a dozen times or so we used taxis in Berlin. It is a wonderful city. Enjoy yourself!

Thanks for all your recommendations.
I was unable to see your responses until now. Website was being worked on and I was unable to get in until this moment.
We arrived today in Berlin. Ended up taking M41 bus to Postdam Platz, firt stop after departing the train station. We found it easy!.
Marriott Hotel: We upgraded to Exec Floor for 40euros per day in Prague...Marriott Berlin is asking for 80euros per day for the upgrade. Granted, we just tried it and t is much better than Prague but is it worth it? Well, think considering bad financial times, the price is too high and at a time the hotel is hardly occupied.
