M'aide s'il vous plait -Strikes and Museums

I am going to paris for 10 days from June 24 to July 3. Is there any website that tells you of any scheduled strikes? Also what museums are closed for renovation or putting some of their really great art on a travelling exhibit tht I could end up missing?

If a strike is scheduled , then it's not a serious strike
I'm joking, they use to have a date..but it's still too soon for your dates And no, they are not announced in a website normally.

You have to be able to comprehend enough French:

Also, I'd ask my hotel if they know of upcoming strikes, once I checked in.

If you have specific museums in mind, you can google for their website then see if there is a notice of closure. It will usually be on the first page.

A strike just as one third to one half of France is preparing to go on summer vacation? Not too likely.

I think you need to say "aidez-mois.v.p." if you want help.

A strike in Paris at the end of June would be a first. Strikes are scheduled to bother Parisians, not tourists -- so strikes stop at the end of May and don't start until September.

The only exceptions are wildcat strikes, usually called after a violent incident causing injury to a worker.

I was jokingly going to respond greves.fr, and had to laugh out loud when Travelnut posted the actual greves.org website address! God bless the French!
