Purchase AVE train tickets – Segovia (24) Madrid (25) Toledo (26) Seville (27) Puerta del Sol and Plaza Santa Ana, shops and Tapas bars, Las Ventas bull ring, Plaza Mayor, La Latina
Day 2: (24-day trip) Segovia 2 hrs……Charmartin station, Alcazar castle, Roman Aqueducts, Medieval wall, street cafes, stores
Day 3: (25-day trip) Toledo….. Alcazar, Catedral de Toledo, Casa Y Museo de El Greco
Day 4: (26) El Rastro market Sunday morning, Prado Museum,
Day 5: (27) Check out – AVE Train-Seville wander streets of Barrio de Santa Cruz
Day 6: (28-day trip) Cordoba… store luggage in bus depot across street
Day 7: (29) Seville…ventes bull ring, Alcazar, Catedral de Sevilla, Giralda Tower, Alcazar
Day 8: (30) Museum Arts de Sevilla (El Greco/Murillo), Parque Maria Luisa
Day 9: (Oct 1) Check out - Fly Vueling to Barcelona…wander streets, beach
Day 10: (2) Park Guell by Eusebi Guell, Sagrada+Famillia Church,
Day 11: (3) Barcelona Soccer game if possible
Day 12 (4–day trip) Montserrat, Monistrol de Montserrat, Spain
Day 13 (5) Wander around and just R&R on last day.....wine etc.
Day 14 (6) Fly Barcelona Terminal 1
Any comments on some changes......anyone going on those dates and want to join....I am 61, fit and single.......first time out on my own and hopefully I got it nailed pretty good. Plan is to keep doing this from now on - out of Toronto, Canada

Well, if you've already got the hotels booked I guess it's a little too late to ask why you're not visiting Granada and suggest focusing on a more condensed geography in a 13 night trip.....

looks like you plan a very nice trip, i went to barcelona and i recommend to lunch at la boqueria, the market located at la rambla and go to cerveseria catalana, a good tapas restaurant, not expensive located at mallorca street crossing rambla de catalunya on your left, also suggest this page http://www.world-rt.com because lot of local info about barcelona written by a local guy, it was helpful for my family to plan our vacation

if you're interested in saving money, you could purchase your train tickets online now. There are significant discounts when purchasing in advance. and if your itinerary is all set, all the better.

one word of caution on Toledo: both the alcazar and El Greco's house and museum were STILL closed when I was there in May. I suspect they might still be closed.

By the time you get your RENFE tickets, get to town, check into a hotel, rest a bit, you will hardly have much time to see all the places on your list for that day.(even if jet-lag is not a problem). Madrid is a big city!
You know your stamina, but I find two consecutive day trips rather stressful.
You might find it enjoyable to spend some time in beautiful Retiro park ( next to Prado) .

The only thing I would suggest, is not to do 2 day trips back-to-back (in your case, Segovia & Toledo). If possible, I'd split them up.

The Rastro and the Prado in one day is a lot of walking and standing.

Two of the greatest female flamenco dancers today are performing in Sevilla while you are there. Part of the Bienal de Flamenco, the world's largest and most important flamenco festival.

Pastora Galván in Teatro Lope de Vega on the 27th and Concha Jareño in Teatro Central on the 28th. Both are fabulous, I saw them together in Madrid last august. Pastora Galván is sold out, but it's always possible to get hold of tickets outside the venue from an hour or so before. Some 70 tickets left for Concha Jareño's performance.
