Just checking in as TDuTwo. No time to read links above yet. The area around the Prado is lovely and tree lined.

Dinner last night:

Ali Oli Potatoe
Iberian ham croquet
Cut of foie on spiced toast
Rioja and water

Had a call from lincasanova and it was nice to talk. Thanks for the coffee advice, lin.

More to come. Flamenco tonight!

Hi TDudette,

Glad you arrived safely. Clever of you to be able to post under a similar name. Meal sounds delightful. How did you like the airport?

Waiting for your review of museums...

Hi to All, I´m at a free computer in the hotel and back as myself. Got eschrunchy´s TR and saw your photos, flygirl and then computer booted me out. There might be a time limit.

annhig, you are close--it was that rioja that put me over!

Anyhow, I think the TR will have to wait until I have time and free, unlimited wi-fi. Except for the really esoteric body parts, I´ve gone through the hotel resto´s tapas.

Thyssen is astounding and Sofia not so much my cuppa BUT I rented the audio guide for it and learned a bunch of stuff about what went on in Spain while the WWs were going on. Dali could draw! Prado tomorrow.

Thanks for waiting, TDu.

Mostly 80s, lateday. Very nice. Waiting for airport shuttle now for London. Did you say they have a washing machine in Strand Palace?

Thanks, yestravel. I was happy to go that long. Haven´t needed nebulizer at all so far.

TDudette, I never asked about washing machine at the Strand Palace. I believe they have a dry cleaning service though.

Looking forward to your London jaunt. How are you getting to the hotel?

Hi to all, No washing machine in Strand Palace but pricey laundry. Concierge sent me to a self-serve/drop off place and that worked fine.

Lateday, I took just airports. Long time in customs but the guy waited.

Good wi-fi service but typing on kindle a bit of a PITA so am doing this from hotel's computer room but have to share.

TR to come, TDu

TDudette, glad you arrived safely and are on track. I found that those three computers near the lobby are pretty available at the Strand Palace.

Thanks, late and ann.

Got tickets for Matisse cutouts tomorrow at Tate Modern. Have seen 3 plays and been to Tate Britain so email has been a secondary pursuit!

On the day of laundry, I got to Covent Gardens and Liberty for fabric designed by William Morris in early 1900s.

Cheers, TDu

"Got tickets for Matisse cutouts tomorrow at Tate Modern."

How did you get your tickets? I could not access the museum's site tonight.

Hi late and lin, Got ticket while at Tate Britain. So many theatres in this general area...so far, easy for a single to snag an errant seat.
