Lyon City Card?
The Lyon Tourist Office sells 1-, 2-, and 3-day City Cards. Has anyone ever bought and used one? It's 18€ for a 1-day pass and 28€ for a 2-day pass. What you get is free transportation on métro and buses, free entry to museums, free guided Tourist Office tours, free self-guided tours with walkman, free river boat cruise, 10% off purchases from various places, and discounts on ccertain concerts and shows.
I'm usually leery about these types of offers, but then, I don't know how much museums and other attractions cost in Lyon. Guess I need to do further research, but if anyone has used one of these, please share details.

Hi,
when my mother and aunt visited me in Lyon for a week last summer they got the 3 day city card and I remember them saying it was very good value.
They went to lots of museums, used the transport (I used to live at the top of the Croix-Rousse hill so it certainly came in handy), went on the guided "murs peints" tour which they enjoyed as it showed lots of different areas of Lyon, and they did the boat trip.
The only downside was that there were so many things on offer, they didn't manage to see everything they'd hoped to with the card and had trouble fitting everything in! I haven't used the card myself but I think it seems like good value if you are planning on trying to make the most of your stay in the city. Like all these types of city/museum passes, I think you probably get out of it what you put in - if you are willing to zoom round and try and pack a lot into your stay, you'll get a good return on your investment but if you want to take things at a slower pace it might be worth doing a few sums before deciding to invest in the card.
