Lucca - driving to Rome - which route?

I have to drive from Lucca to Rome on Friday October 21. I can take the E80 route which hugs the coast or the A1/E35 route which goes down the middle. We'd like to hit the road by around 10am most likely, and maybe stop somewhere along the way for lunch. We have no real time we need to be in rome by, but would like to get to our hotel near FCO by 8pm.

Curious if there's any reason to take on route over the other. Google maps posts similar times for both routes.

If you take E80 you might as well stop in Tarquinia and visit the museum and the necropolis.
