I'm pleased for your happiness, but over a $1000 total for a direct ticket isn't so much a bargain in my opinion. I paid $985 total non-direct for this Oct's trip to Paris from JAX. I'm posting not to 'rain on your parade' but as a reference point for others currently pricing tickets. I recall that I booked those tickets in early May (for Sept orig, then had to postpone). So it might be a little early to be jumping on fall fares just now.

I read the post to read $930 for TWO tickets...not for one -- which does seem like a good deal for Sept.

I just tried PHL to CDG in early October and got--with all fees--$571 RT. That's a great fare! Too bad I really don't like USAirways.

I just looked at kayak.com and found JFK to CDG in April 2009 for $ 600.00 US non-stop on the way there.

Too bad I bought mine last month for $ 767.00 US

There's a Charlotte fare--$560 but that probably doesn't include taxes. I didn't look. Got to stay home!! DANG!

Just booked last week in Aug:
Phila to CDG non-stop two adults:

$1,144 !!!

Not bad considering Continental is $2700 for the same thing.
