Patrick -

Your post about being "amused" by the way other people appear to be behaving in a museum isn't about having a sense of humor - it's about being judgmental, and you know it (but perhaps don't want to admit it.) You do it regularly on this board. Some people here seem to think that this sort of snobbery is a reflection of being well traveled, cultured, etc - but those sorts of comments are a reflection of insecurity and lack of openmindedness more than anything else. Why not let people enjoy their vacation as they see fit and not criticize it here?

Huh? Did you read my post. Almost the whole first half was clearly stating that there is nothing wrong with viewing museums this way, or not at all. I even talked about friends who don't want to view art at all and how I understand that viewpoint. If that doesn't make clear that I'm not being judgemental against how other people view or don't view art, then I don't know what does. I merely was commenting on the other posts here the way nearly everyone else did. What is it about me that made you want to single me out, when most of the others didn't even preface with how it is alright not to enjoy art?

And since you are so firm about letting people do their own thing without being judgemental, then why are you criticizing my simple opinions and being judgemental about my difference of opinion from yours and the way I post? Kind of a double standard, don't you think??? You certainly are showing your insecurity and lack of openmindedness. But I don't expect you to understand. I know that I could post that I enjoyed a particular museum and you would rant that I am just being superior or bragging about my being there. Some insecure people are like that, always pointing out what they perceive to be flaws in others.
