Looking for the thread about what documents...

Looking for the thread about what documents I need to sign or provide if my son were to go abroad with a friend and his friend's Mom. If someone has it saved or recalls the title, could you top if for me please?

I think that's the one I was thinking of. Does anyone know if there's an "official" document I should have or just a letter of consent to travel and medical info, etc?

Is it to show the airline? Then look on that airline's website - there should be something...

Well, to be honest, I'm not sure who all would need it. Medical emergencies are the most obvious, so I could state that in a letter and have it notorized. But my son is 17 so I'm not sure if the airlines or customs etc would even care about it. He's been to Europe twice already and has flown by himself in the States every summer since he was 7. Any other thoughts?

Not that this is very important... but the URL cited above can be shortened to

http://www.fodors.com/forums/pgMessa...p;tid=34650347

You can always truncate everything off after the "tid" (thread identifier).

Best wishes,

Rex

thanks everyone. With a passport, copy of the birth certificate and a notarized letter stating they can get him medical help and he has my permission to be there in the first place, he should be set.
