Looking for private tour guide Scotland

hi I’m planning a trip with friends in June 2027. We have four stops in Scotland:
Greenock, Kirkwall, Edinburgh and invergordon
I’m looking for one or two private companies to hire for these four ports.
many of us took a British Isles tour years back, at the company we used then has since gone out of business. Can anyone suggest companies they have used and were pleased with?
Our group will be 8 to 10 people. Thanks so much in advance

I have used K Thomson several times while in Scotland for small group private tours. I highly recommend him. He books up quickly.
His email::[email protected]
I hope it works out.

I'd contact Rabbies . . . they are probably the very best known small group operators in the UK and do private tours.

Orkney might be the outlier but if they couldn't do it they might be able to recommend a local. They do offer tours that include Orkney but they originate in Inverness so not sure if they have local guides on the islands.

We used Orkney Uncovered and he was fantastic!!! In fact Rick Steves also used him in one of his segments and he has extensive knowledge. I would highly recommend him.
