Where are you going? What do you plan to do?
If you are going to Paris or Rome for a week, I would say go the apartment route. I like the idea of getting up in the morning, having toast, coffee, and/or juice while getting ready for the day's activities. Also, more room to roam around in an apartment.
Also, eating in, fruit, veg, cheese/crackers, etc. The apartment has so much more advantages over a hotel room.

It's very important for you to give us specific information like; how much do you want to spend per night? Also, look at www.vrbo.com for many apt. choices. Giving us your budget will help us to help you.
