Long wait to board cruise in Barcelona--sleep deprived

I am going on a cruise that leaves from Barcelona. With the time changes, I get in at 7 in the morning with not much time to have gotten any sleep on the plane. I cannot board the ship until 1 p.m. and do not have to board until 5 p.m. I am wondering if there is an airport lounge or a close by hotel that will allow an 8 am check-in. How did you spend your wait time from arriving in Barcelona to being able to board the ship with all your luggage?

I would be very excited just to walk stroll through Barcelona before I have to embark.

Sleep as much as you can on the plane. Forget about the mediorcre food they offer you during the flight. Just sleep.

Once in Barcelona, you have to store the baggage for a few hours. Try this:

The last time I cruised ou to f Barcelona, we dropped our luggage with the cruise line at the pier then strolled around Barcelona for an afternoon, had a nice lunch, then boarded the ship.

Dear heavens==sounds like a first day in Europe from the US. Get over it. Have fun. You'll go to bed early and then be ready the next day.

Thanks to all for the responses. I have spent a lot of time in Barcelona, and it is an amazing city. That's why I was just looking for a way to be rested for the cruise.
