I wish I'd seen this last Friday, but it's still worth a look:

We've seen those notices all over the place.
I've told the Boss: try carrying me onto an escalator or walkway and you're going to have to get voice recognition software. No-one carries a Flannerpooch and keeps their hands.
So we ignore them.
But I've volunteered to help TfL enforce the "stand on the right" rule - and I know hundreds of other dogs who'd be delighted to join in. Just let us at the Italian schoolgirls and Japanese office ladies for a couple of days and they'll learn.
Boris wimped out with some damnfool girlie excuse about Health and Safety. So I'm rewriting my suggestion in Greek pentameters (always speak to Boris in a language he understands - and there's no Classical Greek for 'Health and Safety'). Just got to master the future conditional in the middle voice (I'm fine on aorists and subjunctives), and he'll get an offer he daren't refuse.
