london to oxford

you don't need a tour to go to Oxford. There are frequent trains from Paddington station. And really inexpensive buses - called the "Oxford Tube" but nothing to do w/ the tube.
As for day trips from London - there are quite literally hundreds of choices. How long are you in London? When? What sorts of things do you like?

i am in london for 4 more weeks...i have been here twice already. i have done a lot here! mainly tourist attractions and have done a lot of favorite local places from friends that have lived here or studied here for longer periods of time. do you have any favorite suggestions? i would love them!

A favorite easy day trip is Winchester, but it seems that since you have done a lot already, you have probably been there... or not. If not, do go. The Cathedral is great, and there are other interesting things to see and do in the town.

Bath can be done as a day trip--also from Paddington. The TI has an excellent walking tour. I believe it is free.
York can be done as a long day trip from King's Cross. Visit the Minster, walk the shambles and have tea at Betty's. There are several good museums. We finished up with Evensong at the Minster and then took the train back to London.
Both are as different from each other as can be and enjoyable.
