Joanel,
To answer your question, only Meridiana flies from London (Gatwick) to Florence (FLR). Book at:
www.meridiana.it
Pisa airport is a 1 hour direct train ride from Florence. It is served by:
a) Ryanair from London Stansted
www.ryanair.com
b) British Airways from London Gatwick
www.britishairways.com
Milan is far less convenient to fly into and will probably not save you any money either.
A backup option is Bologna (BLQ), served by British Airways from Gatwick or possibly Forli served by Ryanair form Stansted.
Hope this helps,
Andre

I think Joanel has gotten a lot of decent answers, but doesn't really want to take them! To each his or her own...
A last thought would be using the frequent flier miles into Rome, then taking the train to Florence.
And now I'm done and a little cranky since I think you did get a lot of good advice here.

Joanel has posted a lot of threads asking a lot of questions and getting a LOT of good advice.
She never comes back to post that she has even read the info, nor any sort of aknowledgement that she appreciates the help.
Why bother?????? I quit a long time ago

We are flying into Florence in March. We are taking Delta into CDG, Paris and City Air, a subsidiary of Air France from there to Florence. I am not sure whether this airline flies out of London, but you could give it a try. Good Luck.
