My husband and I went to London two years ago and we didn't purchase tickets ahead of time. In fact, we got to the area and there were some booths selling discounted tickets before the show. We got some decent tickets to see Les Mis. You could probably find some better tickets than ours if you purchased it a few days ahead. Ours were last minute plans.

I guess you have 2 choices: Wait until the day of the show, go to the half price ticket booth in Leicester Sq and wait in line taking your chances on saving money or book ahead of time to gurantee better seats, the show of your choice but pay more.<BR><BR>We will booked tickets for My Fair Lady for the middle of May. Called the theatre directly from the US. The price was regular ticket price plus 1 pound. The tickets were mailed and arrived on the 5th day after booking. The envelope had a 1 pound postage on it. I guess the other pound is for service charge. <BR><BR>While I could have saved money at the last minute, I didn't want to waste part of only 3 days in London and then possibly not get what I wanted.<BR>
