How to bookmark this (or any other thread)
Put your mouse on the thread title, in this case "London Superthread."
Click the right mouse button. You will see a dropdown menu containing "Bookmark This Link" or "Add to Favorites..." or some such language. Click on it and follow the instructions.
If you want to name the bookmark with the thread title, you can change it during the subsequent process.
Now you can go to your favorite threads without adding extraneous crap to them.

Robespierre, I'm sorry it bothers you so much that some people choose to bookmark things in a way that you don't agree with. I for one, prefer to be able to click on my screenname in Fodors and access threads in the frame there. Not only does it bring them up in the order in which one last received a response, but it also allows me to access my favorites from any computer, including an Internet cafe while on my trip. Maybe from now on, instead of being honest about bookmarking, I'll make some rude comment instead since it'll give me the same result.

The point is that your comment does no different. It clutters the thread with extraneous crap. If one is selfish, so is the other. I wish that Fodors had a button that I could use to save certain threads on the website, but that button doesn't currently exist. Since your request for the heading change was met within 24 hours, perhaps you could make another request to Fodor's rather than griping to other users about how they use the forum. I will continue to bookmark by posting in a thread because it is the best way for me to be able to access my favorite threads while not at my computer...at least until Fodor's lets me mark a thread a favorite on the website.

Email the threads to a webmail account (see the link at the bottom?) Then you can access them from Ulan Bator, for all I care.
That way you can keep your bookmarking posts out of everyone else's lives.
(And by the way, my post isn't equivalent, because once this discussion is over, my posting is over. Bookmarking posts go on forever.)
