Was the Egyptologist Sir Richard Burton? His tomb looks like a fancy tent, if I remember correctly.

crdtny - many thanks again. My first day is now fleshing out nicely as well.

Now all I have to do is give some thought to Greenwich and do a post to sage advice on that - Chummly will probably chime in as well.

Just adding my 2 cents. You can do the museum in an 1 or 1 1/2 hours. It was one of my favorite museums in London. Such an interesting man and home.

Got back yesterday - will do trip report over the weekend.

In a nutshell:
Sunday - according to plan
Monday - Overcast and raining - so ditched Greenwich and spent time in West end including a play in the evening
Tuesday - I worked, other half had fun - in evening went to see Redgrave in Year of Magical Thinking
Wednesday - almost accoridng to plan St Henry's room closed until further notice, skipped Dr j's house added a couple of pubs - caught tube from Westminster at 4:40 - perfect tiiming for out 7pm flight

Thanks! I will look for that. And yes, I did read that Prince Henry's Room has been closed. I ddin't mention it cuz I didn't think you were planning to visit as well!
