London/Rome hotel help

In March I will be in London with my almost 20 year old daughter for her birthday present. Then later in March will be in Rome for my 16 year old son's birthday present. Please recommend hotels in safe areas convenient to the sights of interest for first time visitors. I am hoping to find something for up to about $150 per night. Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences.

For London, your best option would be Priceline's bidding option. You should be able to get a 4* hotel for less than $150. If you're not familiar with Priceline, do a search here, plus go to www.biddingfortravel.com and www.betterbidding.com to learn all about it.

I highly recommend the location, your daughter is bound to love the camden markets.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will look into both. If I have to raise my budget a bit, I will. My priorities are safety and convenient location.

WLS, you don't say how long you are staying in each city. Obviously, apartment rental is cheaper if you're staying an entire week.

Check out VRBO.com or Sleepinitaly.com.
