London question

We were watching a travelogue about London and saw so many things that did not exist when we last visited in 1998...the Eye being the most obvious. In the background of some of the pictures...with the river in the foreground...we saw a beautiful blue cylindrical glass (?) building, tapered at the top sort of like a lipstick. Does anyone know its name? I'd like to do some more research on it.

Probably the Gherkin Building. Oh, I mean the 30 St Mary Axe.

I think it's interesting - in a Clockwork Orange sort of way. And so is City Hall. http://www.london.gov.uk/gla/city_hall
