London-private vehicle hire

Has anyone used justairports.com for a trip from Heathrow airport to central London? I wrote them an e-mail and they haven't been responsive enough to answer me. My questions were whether their quote on their webb site includes VAT and whether the charge quoted is by vehicle rather than by person. I know that Londontown.com does charge by the person on there webb.

Any thoughts or comments appreciated.

Jaydh42: I answered this on your other thread - the price is per car (and includes VAT). The cash price will be a LOT cheaper than using a credit card.

Lots of people on this board have used justairports. If you put the name in the text search you'll find lots of previous mentions.

Oh - I meant to add - it appears you think LondonTown is a car service. It isn't. It is simply a clearing house for hotels/airport transfers/theatre tix, etc.

All of the car services you get on their site quote huge "rack rates" per person and then give a big "discount" for using LondonTown. For instance - I can't think of any car service that normally charges £50 per person one way -- heck that is more than a taxi charges. Then you get a 62% "discount" down to £19 per person plus VAT. That's £45 for 2. Not a discount at all.

jaydh, Lots of people (myself included) have used justairports with great success. It has been noted on occasion that they are not good about answering email. I always call directly to book or ask a question.

Definitely go for the cash price. The CC price is not particularly competitive.
