Train stations normally have a brochure for the 2-4-1 offers which includes some blank vouchers that you can fill in.

I am travelling with my parents 60+(2), my husband and 3 children 4,7 and 13 for a total of 7 people. We have rented a car and will have it parked in the city. we are there for 3 days before we travel north. I know this sounds like a redundant question but how would this benefit me travelling with children?

Dewdrops: WHY do you want/need a car in London? It will most likely be cheaper (and almost certainly easier) to pick it up when you leave London for your journey north.

How would what benefit you? The 2for1's or the London Pass?

The London Pass - not at all.

We are getting the car off site because we need a bigger van for the 7 of us plus luggage as we are there for a wedding. We would not be taking a train at all while we are there. Are there other train tickets that I could buy to get the 2 for 1 deal?

If you read the website - it explains everything (as do some of the posts above) If you use any public transport in London you can buy paper travel cards toget the 2for1's

I am still confused - is the wedding up north or in London? You really don't want to be driving a 9 passenger van around London. I meant picking up your vehicle -- no matter whether it is a car or a people mover, when you need it to drive north.

Yes, simply buy a train ticket from either Heathrow or Gatwick airports to London and back - and you will get 2 4 1 deals for the whole time you are in London. And even if you do not even use the ticket you will reap lots of cost savings. You just need to have a rail ticket coming and leaving from London and get 2 for 1 the whole time.

The concensus on this forum is that railway tickets to and from Heathrow do not count in the 2 for 1 deal.

It's actually more complicated than that. But everyone seems to agree that a railway ticket <b>to central London bought at Heathrow </b> doesn't qualify you for the 2 for 1.

I can't absolutely swear to it since I almost never take a train from LHR - but many folks have posted the same thing that flanner mentions. That trains from LHR don't qualify.

Maybe do a search on here to make sure (the advanced search function works really well)
