london/paris-just returned

We just returned from 10 days of London and Paris with our girls. My wife will post a detailed trip report shortly. For now, happy to answer any specific questions we can. Stayed at Marriott County Hall in London and Hotel de Jardins du Marais in Paris.

Keefmick, what is the latest on the flooding in the Cotswolds? My daughter and I are leaving for London, Cotswolds and Paris next week.

Did you guys do any tours of the city?

How did you like staying in the Marais? We're trying to decide between the Marais, the 7th and the 5th for our next trip to Paris. Pros and cons of staying in this area? Thanks.

Thanks Janisj.....we still have some time before we are actually there so that should be just fine. Glad to know that life is returning to normal.

We did a big bus tour of london on day one and it was great. Hop on and hop off whenever you want. Buses are frequent and a great way to learn the layout of the city and get some fun and interesting history.
We loved the marais. Great walking and cafes/bistros. Location is also very good for other tourist attractions--long walk or short metro ride to most.
