London - Paris from Copenhagen
Our son is schooling in Copenhagen and we are visiting him in mid - March. We are extending the trip 5 days and would like thoughts on trips with 2 adults and a 20 year old (his first time to Europe) We are thinking about trying to combine London & Paris and understand we would only be seeing the highlights in either...thoughts? (We would be flying home from either city and not returning to Copenhagen)

Either London OR Paris would be terrific - but not both. The cost and logisitics don't make for a good "two-fer" in such a short time. You will lose approx 1/2 a day from Copenhagen to London, another 1/2 a day London to Paris and another 1/2 a day Paris back to Copenhagen.
Now - none of those journeys actually take 1/2 a day, but when yiu factor in checking out, traveling to the airport, advance chack in, travel in from the airport and checking in to the hotel - there is 1/2 a day shot. Same for the train ride from London to Paris - only a bit over 2.5 hours, but after you factor in the Checking out/in and transport - another 1/2 a day pretty much shot.
So pick ONE of those cities and spend 4.5 - 5 days there.

If you pick Paris, consider a budget flight from Copenhagen on www.sterling.dk
