London or bust! Less than 48 hours to go...
Hello and Goodbye all,
We are counting down in hours now. Less than 48 to go, then we are off to London! (I keep hearing that song ?it?s a London we are going?it?s a London we are gone!)
I want to thank all of you for some great information and advice. Much will come in handy and I have tried to print out most of the bookstore info and hope I will be able to take advantage of that. I am going to try and give a couple of live trips reports from the internet café?s, I won?t promise daily ones, but I hope I do better than last time (which was no reports).
I have had enormous fun planning this trip and have decided that when I retire from my serious day job, I am going into the internet travel business. I will let you know when(big grin!).
Now, I was talking (laughing) with one of my co-workers earlier and we have decided that I need a list. This list is to be made up of serious (not!) questions about stuff we American?s are all just dying to know the answers to about Brits! And it will be my quest to find out these answers. <b>Please contribute to the list!</b>
I have the first four questions for the list:
Are Charles and what?s her name actually living together?
Does William look as goofy in person as he does in the tabloids?
What does the fur on the hats the London Guards wear actually feel like?
And finally the cu de ta! (that is the phonetic spelling for Degas baby?s sake)?..
Who actually washes the Queens underwear? Does she do it herself or does a maid do it under a signed confidentially agreement?
(Kavey, please for gods sake, excuse this?they made me do it!)
For those of you who are wondering, I have seriously lost it during these last planning days??at this point all I want them to do is just start the damn plane! I am even willing to push!
To all my british friends, Cheers! I am on my way and would like a double!
To all my American friends, okay enough already with the requests please, I can only carry and do so much! Besides, I may never come back!
