Another point about the 2-for-1 deals:
The website shows expiration dates of April 30, 2017, for the deals, but most of them will still be there (with new expiration dates) after April 30.
Just check back at the site after April 30 to print out the updated vouchers.
Judicious use of these vouchers on a week-long visit can save you over $100 easily, depending on what you want to see. The Tower, Hampton Court, Westminster Abbey, St Paul's and the Thames cruise alone total ~100 GBP, or nearly $125.

Thank again and again. We are looking into theatre. So far there's..An American in Paris, Michael Jackson musical, Kinky Boots, Carole King musical and a couple other things I can't remember right off. Any opinions or further suggestions?

mcheryl: >>Suggestion: Ceremony of the Keys at the Tower. Reserve well in advance.<<
I've stopped recommending the (wonderful) Keys Ceremony. Now that they have 'gone modern' and do on-line booking it is nearly impossible to get in. As is states on the HRP website >>The Ceremony of the Keys is fully booked until August 2017.<<
When they still used snail mail and international reply coupons you could almost always get in if you had any flexibility at all and were in London more than a couple of days. I've attended probably 12+ times but pretty sure those days are over.

Re theatre:
Have you seen The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime at the Gielgud Theatre?
https://www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/s...the-night-time
We saw it on our last trip in May, 2015, and it was outstanding. It won seven Olivier Awards (equivalent to our Tony?)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cu...End_production
Waked in about two hours before the show and got great seats for about 40 GBP. Had time for dinner at Princi (An inexpensive Italian place) a couple of blocks away before the show started.
The website says it's playing till June 3...with it closing, it may be harder to get tickets...who knows?...but give it a try.

I am working on a similar trip for October.
This might be handy in finding an area you like to stay in:

I found this too; while it's for 3 days...it has good info:

I'll recommend a flat I've stayed in several times in London. Close to the Tube and Eurostar and supermarkets. The owners are lovely to work with as well.

Not sure when you are going; I just booked the St. James Court, a Taj hotel for a great price for October. Just under $200 a night with breakfast and it has great reviews in a great location. Worth a look see.

Here is the link to my London Bus 11 self-guided tour that I put together (with some suggestions from Fodorites) in May:

It's fairly accurate, but I'm sure there are some errors. Riding buss 11 -- front seat, upper deck -- is a great way to introduce yourself to London.

Thanks again and again 22ander. You are a treasure I am also looking at a Eurostar train trip from London to Paris. Any recommendations on which website to use to purchase them? We were jusy going to go standard class. There's several choices including Eurostar itself. I've used RailEurope before. Sometimes there are deals through AAA or Costco. Happy Holidays!
