I saw a ticket posted with asking price of 7000GBP not bad for a 125 GBP ticket. More than 1,000,000 people applied for the 20,000 tickets

20 million?

20 million?

one out of every three Brits wanting to see Zep?

Wow what if the Beatles rematerialized - every Brit would be there - 60 million?

So say 10 million folks would pay to fly to London just to see Zep concert?

assuming the other 10 would come from UK

Let's see if Dome holds 35,000 then Zep could hold 320 concerts in a row and sell out.

Ok i think i have this 'internets' thing (as W has called the internet) almost figured out - easy to register without really planning on going.

It ain't over till it's over. Those that got lucky in the ballot had 72 hours to pay up - ie until yesterday. If they don't take up the offer then there is a second ballot.

But the chances are still super small.

sounds like it's almost as tough a ducat to get as for the Wembley NFL spectacular - those tickets were gobbled up before they went on sale.

Well i did hear that they were having problems with security at the O2, apprently local officials are incompetent and they may have to bring in some YYanks for proper security for this seminal event.

Seems that many LBGreenwich security officials are more interested in getting free ducats to the concert than protecting it from terrorists!

It's those White Hart Lane pies. They add a lot of bulk - provided you can get the momentum behind it.

We only eat bagels at the lane.

And Bob, England is a civilised country so we don't have guns. You should give it a go.

we had a neighbor a few years ago from England and just after arriving here (work) he said

"What a country, you can go to Meijer (hypermarche) and buy a donut and gun at the same time"

now that's civilized!

The only civilised thing about America is that you can rent hard core porn from DVD shops.

Wouldn't it be easier just to bake the doughnuts with the hole in, in the first place?
