We just rented a flat for a week in the Park Lane/Mayfair section for later this month. If you haven't stayed in Mayfair, it's one of the fanciest neighborhoods in London. Restaurants are all over the area, particularly on Curzon Street and Shepherd' Market. Don't forget to have afternoon tea at The Ritz. (No jeans or sneakers allowed.) I think they have a tea dance one day a week. You should call in advance to make a reservation, particularly for the dance. Bring money! I had tea (no dance) there last year and it was 22 pounds sterling per person!. They do give seconds on request. No doggie bags though.
'
This maybe the second posting. Fodor's is acting funny for a change.

Try Curzon Street and Shepherd's Market for restaurants, indoor and out, expensive and moderate. Tea at the Ritz,. 22 pounds per person is well worth it. No jeans or sneakers allowed. Seconds on the food.
No doggie bags. They also have a tea dance once a week. Call in advance to make reservations, especially for the tea dance.

Tea
