London Indian Restaurant

Can anyone recommend a nice Indian Restaurant in London. We are looking for a place near the Reubens Hotel across from the Royal Mews. Thank you for your help.

Cinnamon Club in Westminster is the smartest, and most sophisticated one in London - fabulous atmosphere and cuisine.

I can also recommend Tamarind in Mayfair,
which is very elegant and has delicious
food.

Might not be anywhere near the Royal Mews but if you're in the Bayswater area, Khan's North Indian restaurant was the bomb!! The food was really delicious and the prices were very reasonable. It's about 15 minutes walk from Bayswater Tube St.

Jay, we've stayed at the Rubens twice in the last couple of years. While not an Indian restaurant, there is a very nice place we discovered on our last trip. It is called Bumbles and it's down the street (to the left as you walk out of the Rubens) about a block or so on the opposite side of the street from the hotel. It's a nice, small restaurant with excellent food and service. Entree prices started at about 9 GBP. We had fish and chips and it was excellent!

We went to a wonderful Indian restaurant called Mela at 152-156 Shaftesbury Ave near the Leicester Square tube station. Not sure if this is the right location for you, but the restaurant was excellent.

Walk along the King's Rd - you'll find excellent Indians there.
