london hotels

Will be traveling to London end of June and would like to stay in the Kensington or Knightsbridge area...nice quiet hotel or inn.
Mid range price, lets say under 100 pounds...Have heard about Thistle Kensington Park, White House, Aster House. Any comments on these or other choices. Want convenient and very quiet location. Thanks.

I went to www.londontown.com and did a request for June 24 for a "small luxury hotel". There were several nice hotels coming in under 100 pounds. You'd need to confirm directly with the hotel for your specific dates, but maybe this will help you find something in your price range. Good luck.

all three of the hotels you mention have been praised on this message board, some very recently.
YOu can scroll down and look for London hotel postings, as recently as this weekend, or do a search for older posting.
The website mentioned above is a good one; you can get the information and still book directly with the hotel if you like. THe book "Cheap Sleeps in London" is also a reliable resource.
White House is not in either of these area it is up by Regent's Park, but it is a nice hotel but doubt if you get in for under 100 pounds night. Try The Willet on Sloan Square, nice and may be in price range.

When checking londontown.com, the Willet came up at 100 pounds, but that's the regular rate. They show the Gallery Hotel (near Harrods) at 98 pounds and the Darlington (near Hyde Park) at 85 pounds
