LONDON HOTEL: What area of city?

London in April - plan to see as much of the city as possible. We're using points from a large hotel chain and can stay in pretty much any area of the city. Any recommendations on the best location - Trafalgar Square, Tower Bridge, southwest corner of Hyde Park, etc?

I wouldn't stay around Tower Bridge; try for Covent Garden - it's more central - you can walk a lot of places worth seeing from there.

Have you checked hotel reviews for each of your options on tripadvisor? I agree the Tower Bridge area is not as convenient as others, but I would go with the best hotel. The tube system is good and you can get to everywhere from most anywhere.

No reason for secrecy - Which chain? Not all properties are created equal. Location is not the only thing to consider . . . . .

We have often stayed in the Tower Bridge area and love it especially being right on the river. The underground is a 10 minute walk as are numerous bus routes.

Hilton Green Park would be my first choice. Great location and a nice property.

Followed maybe by the Waldorf - Love the location practically in Covent Garden.
