London Fireworks Nov. 6
Can anyone tell me locations of fireworks in London on Nov. 6? Those closest to or most easily accessible from the South Kensington tube stop would be most appreciated.
Is there a website with this information?
Thank you.

xxxx, do you mean November 5th (Bonfire night?). You're in luck this year - it's the 400th anniversary of the Gunpowder plot that this night commemorates, and there's a whole host of events on top of the usual bonfires and firework displays that most local councils put on. Here's some resources for events and exhibitions:

And this provides a list of all the major bonfires/displays:

Thanks for the link, Kate. Which of those will be the biggest event? The Battersea Park fireworks? The Thames?(The cruise sounds like fun, but goes rather late for us, considering we wouldn't get back to Maidenhead until about 1 am and that's when the ASBO crowd tends to be there causing trouble, as I noted in my ASBO thread post. We'd rather get back by 11 pm)
P.S. Have fun at the GTG tonight. We just got back from a month in Germany and Belgium; too much unpacking and other stuff to do to go. Next time!

well I haven't been, but the Battersea Park bonfire gets a good write up. I don't think I remember ever seeing bonfire night displays in central London - as you generally need a big field for the bonfire!
Of course if you can't be bothered to drag yourself to The Smoke, there's an event being staged at the Royal Windsor race course as well - not too far from you methinks...

Even when Nov 5 is on a Friday or Saturday, there are always displays somewhere the other evenings of the weekend, though they're often in rather back-of-beyond suburban cricket clubs.
From the web, all I can find on Nov 6 is Broxbourne Park
hertfordshire.co.uk/pages/news/show-news.asp?id=518
(There's one in Cardiff too, but that IS a bit of a shlep)
But this week's Time Out normally lists them all. Or try Friday's Evening Standard
